Take care of your leather pieces in several steps:
1. Clean your shoes and leather accessories with a shine brush to keep them clean.
2. Your leather must be hydrated with a suitable nourishing lotion, also used to remove superficial stains.
3. The use of a shoe polish of the same color, or even slightly darker, is recommended but it must be adapted to the leather to be treated.
If you regularly wear your leather shoes, maintenance should be done as soon as the appearance of the leather becomes “dry”. Favor the use of natural and silicone-free products. If in doubt, seek advice from a leather care specialist. Do not expose your leather items to direct sunlight for a long time, this could discolor the leather. To avoid this, we advise you to place them in the pouch provided during your purchase.
For your leather shoes, waterproof them before putting them on for the first time. To do this, use a waterproofing spray, about 35cm from the leather, avoiding the metal parts.
Repeat this once a month or every two weeks if you wear your shoes regularly.
To avoid the appearance of folds of deformation or wear, we advise you to use raw wood shoe trees of red cedar or beech. They help to tighten the leather and keep the shape of your shoe.
If you have worn your shoes in rainy weather, choose a dry place and use shoe trees to allow them to dry properly. Keep them away from heat sources which can loosen the leather and damage it.
PS: We also recommend that you change your pair of shoes every day and leave them to rest for at least 2 days. Thus, your pair of shoes will keep well for several seasons!
