Our very first pair of sunglasses ... As cool as they are practical, they protect and flatter every face. A retro-inspired essential that will stand the test of time and accompany you throughout the sun-filled months to come.
Our Parisian studio headed to Normandy to visit our SOLF atelier, a prestigious eyewear manufacturer since 1966!
Italian acetate from Mazzucchelli, category 3 anti-UV lenses from Divel and 80 meticulous steps, conducted by hand, are behind the making of our first-ever sunglasses.
The Studio shares the atelier's remarkable savoir-faire and the steps that create and make our Wells sunglasses the unique piece it is today.
Discover the steps, largely conducted by hand, that bring to life a perfect pair of sunglasses.
N ° 1: The studio chooses the acetate from our Italian supplier Mazzucchelli. This is the core materials from which the glasses will be made.
N ° 2: The face is shaped. The acetate plate is cut to the size of the final glasses and then the raw face of the glasses is laser cut.
N ° 3: The temples are also cut and a metal reinforcement is added for extra strength and resistance.
N ° 4: After assembly, the final frame is brushed to give the material a shiny and unique finish.
N ° 5: The glass is tempered to prevent scratches and then the lenses are finally placed on the frame.
