It is in Marseille that we meet Christophe. 23°C in the shade. Colourful and vibrant, the shooting is as summery as the confidential addresses we discover through the eye of this fine Marseilles connoisseur. Having become his playground, what he prefers in his "city of heart" is its light, "in winter as in summer, the light is surprising and fascinating. I also do photography, light is an infinite source of inspiration.
Christophe has found refuge in the Goules district. The "end of the world of Marseille". Sea view and sunshine all year round. The city of Marseilles is the rhythm of the life of the multi-entrepreneur who has been at the head of Chef Spok's Canteens for over 16 years. From independent shops to his favourite neighbourhoods, meet one of those who best frequent its streets.
We start with a confidential visit to the Cercle des Nageurs. An intimate swimming club where families and friends meet for a drink or in the pool, Christophe is no exception to the rule. He confides to us that he would like to make a photo book about it. It's already summer.
We then stop at , a multi-faceted place that is part bookshop, part florist and part taste cellar. We gather in the middle of the shelves filled with the latest finds of the team. It's hard to leave empty-handed.
Lunch and coffee break? The first place to go is the hedonistic cuisine of , on the rue du Théâtre Français, to finish with the best coffee in town on the terrace of . Then head for , a lively wine bar with an Irish flavour. Here, glasses and plates clash and create a melody announcing aperitif time.
We end our escapade with a stop at , a concept store with a strong taste for art. It seems that it was here, on the racks of the store, that Simon Porte-Jacquemus, Marine Serre and Charlotte Chesnais made their debut. Here's to good fortune.
"All these addresses are good. But I must admit that my favourite place is still the one where I am with my children and my friends." Sentimental, Christophe?
A lover of materials and cuts, Christophe does not attribute a label to himself. His style? The perfect combination of simplicity and intuition.
"I don't like uniforms, I go by heart. I never wear black or grey. I like what appeals and dresses up the uniqueness."
Priority to colour, therefore, like the October wardrobe for spring-summer 2022, with our colourful summer shirts. But Christophe also has a great deal of flair. A sharp sense of style and harmony. The entrepreneur assumes his fantasy. Sometimes offbeat. Always asserted. A kind of free Marseille.
